Free SHS Challenges Poorly Managed – NDC’s Amadu Sorogho

Former member of parliament for the Abokobi-Madina ,Amadu Sorogho has charged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his administration with causing the issues that the free Senior High School [SHS] is currently suffering.

He stated that while he agrees that difficulties arise with the implementation of any new policy, he also thinks that the “free SHS challenges can perfectly be dealt with and avoided.”

Amadu Sorogho emphasized that the best instruments this government could have used to refine the policy were stakeholder meetings, careful planning, and future calculations.

He told Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Original TV‘s ‘Adwenepa’ programme that the NPP government intentionally ignored all advices and decided to do it their own way just to fulfill their campaign promise.

”When it comes to executing the free SHS, President Akufo-Addo and his administration believe they are the only ones with the knowledge and expertise to solve any issue. As a result, they do not require the advise of specialists. When we called on them to order, they never did.”

“I always say and will continue to say that the brain behind free SHS is perfect, but its implementation has been poorly managed, hence the difficulties”.
