The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has announced that as of today, January 16, 2023, consumers will be able to expect lower pricing for diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The price of petrol, however, won’t change.
Notwithstanding a minor depreciation of the cedi during the past two weeks, this adjustment has been attributed to a decline in the pricing of completed goods on the international market.
The average price of gasoline is forecast to be GH¢11.71 per liter according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), while the average price of diesel is predicted to be GH¢12.13 per liter. The expected cost of LPG per kilogram is GH¢12.30.
The cost of petroleum products on the domestic market generally decreased at the start of 2024.
Petrol cost an average of GH¢11.80, while diesel was priced at GH¢12.25.
On the other hand, LPG could be purchased for GH¢13 per kilogram.
Notably, certain Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), such as Star Oil and Zen Petroleum, reduced the price of fuel.
