Ghana Navy takes over Jubilee House guard duties

Ghana Navy has taken over the Jubilee House guard duties from the Ghana Army in a brief guard changing ceremony held on Monday 18 March 2024.

The parade which saw the Vice President of the Republic and Chairman of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Council, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in attendance also attracted some pupils to witness the occasion.

In an interaction with the Parade Commander, Naval Lieutenant George Cosmos Yaw Duedu, stated that the guards are responsible for the protection of the president, providing day and night sentry as well as conducting security patrols to ensure safety of the Presidency.

Present were the Minister for Defence,  Dominic Ntiwul, Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, some Government Officials, Service Chiefs, Senior Officers, among others.
