Gideon Boako clashes with Mahama ahead of December elections

Ahead of the December 7 elections, Dr. Gideon Boako, the vice president’s spokesperson and parliamentary candidate for the Tano North Constituency, has taken a strong stand against John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Addressing a rambunctious crowd and referring to the former president as “Papa No,” Dr. Boako boldly forecast that the NDC would lose, saying, “Mahama has no new ideas.”

He then turns to vilifying chiefs, religious authorities, and everybody else who disagrees with him on the basis of this.”

Dr. Boako made the following observation about Mahama’s leadership style using an example:”He’s like a man who can’t manage his own affairs but blames his headgear for his problems.”

He continued by saying that tactics had been put in place by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop Mahama from taking back power.

“We won’t allow him to return.Dr. Boako asserted the NPP’s strong position in the impending elections, saying, “We have put strategies in place to ensure we maintain our lead.”

During the campaign, Dr. Boako received resounding support from constituents, the majority of whom said they planned to vote for him.
