GoldStars stun Hearts of Oak, Holy Stars hold Asante Kotoko, Nations thump Vision: Gameweek 8 wrapup

Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 defeat to league leaders Bibiani GoldStars at the Legon Stadium, with Kumi Attah scoring the crucial goal in the 70th minute.

The Phobians had a chance to equalize in the 77th minute, but Hamza Issah’s penalty was saved by Goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi.

Baseke Holy Stars came from behind to draw 1-1 with Asante Kotoko at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) park. Albert Amoah put Asante Kotoko ahead in the 35th minute, but Prince Tweneboah equalized for Holy Stars in the 82nd minute.

A goal from Akwasi Sarpong in the 56th minute gave Samartex a 1-0 win against Berekum Chelsea, extending Samartex’s home unbeaten streak to 26 games.

The game between Aduana FC and Medeama was rained off. Before the game was brought to an abrupt end, Aduana had come from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Medeama.

David Boison Frimpong and Derrick Fordjour scored in the 37th and 71st minutes, respectively, before Silas Obeng Kyeremeh and Abdel Bamba equalized for Aduana within two minutes. The match will continue at 9am on Monday October 28, 2024.
