Government Spokesperson for Governance and Security, Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has expressed disappointment over allegations made by IMANI Africa’s President, Franklin Cudjoe, that the Presidency is where “all the crooked deals are cooked.”
Speaking on Metro TV, Dr. Boakye-Danquah defended President Nana Akufo-Addo’s anti-corruption record, stating that no other president since independence has established an office dedicated to fighting corruption as Akufo-Addo has done.
Dr. Boakye-Danquah highlighted the establishment of the Office of the Special Prosecutor as a significant milestone in the fight against corruption. He emphasized that this office was created to tackle corruption independently, without political interference.

Dr Boakye-Danquah also pointed out that Akufo-Addo’s administration has taken concrete steps to address corruption, including the passage of the Right to Information Act and the establishment of the Public Office Holders Declaration of Assets and Disqualification Bill.
Dr. Boakye-Danquah urged Ghanaians to recognize the progress made in the fight against corruption and support the government’s efforts to combat the menace.
He expressed disappointment that Franklin Cudjoe’s allegations seemed to overlook these achievements.
