Government working diligently to address economic challenges – Divine Otoo

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Otoo Agorhom, has emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling the economic difficulties facing the country.

Speaking on Original TV’s Hot Seat, Agorhom acknowledged the severity of the situation but assured Ghanaians that efforts were underway to improve conditions.

“The economic challenges are undeniable,” Agorhom stated.

“However, our government has not been idle. We are working tirelessly to turn things around,” he told Akosua Asabea Asomaning.

Agorhom candidly addressed the NPP’s struggle in the Greater Accra Region, where the economic hardship has been acutely felt.

Despite this, he expressed optimism that the government’s efforts would yield positive results soon.

“Even the president has acknowledged the difficulties,” Agorhom added.

“This isn’t exclusive to any political party; it affects all of us. Our wives experience it firsthand when they go to the market.”

In a plea for patience, Agorhom urged citizens to trust the government’s commitment to improving the situation.

He also hinted at the NPP’s aspirations for the upcoming general election in the region, promising to replicate the enthusiastic crowds seen in the North during the Accra campaign.

The NPP lost the Greater Accra region in the 2020 elections, but Agorhom remains hopeful.

However, the economic crisis remains a significant challenge, potentially impacting the party’s prospects in the upcoming December elections.
