Gov’t is committed to making lives better for all Ghanaians – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a digitally driven, resilient, and modern economy.

He promised Ghanaians in his New Year’s Message that more would be done to provide opportunities for people to improve their standard of living.

“Beloved Ghanaians, I must reaffirm our government’s commitment to making life better for all our citizens”, he said, promising: “We shall continue our efforts to build a modern and resilient economy, catalysed by digitalisation”.

Also, Dr Bawumia said: “We shall continue to make young people future-ready. We shall continue to create greater opportunities for every man, woman, and child to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. It is possible.”

He exhorted Ghanaians to preserve their sense of patriotism and to never give up hope while the government worked to put policies in place that would lessen their suffering.

Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in demonstrating the nation’s democratic capabilities following the elections on December 7, 2024.

“I am excited and extremely confident about 2024. To be successful together, we must all dig deep and renew our spirit of patriotism. We must begin this New Year with hope and optimism of what we think we become. Let us be proud of our heritage and work together to lift our dear country to new heights in this election year,” he stated.

Highlighting the significance of national development for stability and peace, Dr Bawumia emphasised, “As we watch and listen to news from our continent, Africa, and around the world, we must never forget that national development and our individual well-being are only possible where there is national stability, social cohesion, and peace. Welcome to 2024, the year of possibilities.”
