Govt to present 24-Hour Economy Policy to Parliament for approval-Ato Forson

Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister of Finance, has announced that the government’s laid out 24-hour economy policy will soon be officially delivered to Parliament for approval.

He made this announcement on Tuesday, March 11, when he presented the economic policy and budget statement for 2025 to Parliament.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, led by Mahama, has implemented a policy that encourages businesses to work around the clock in an effort to increase economic productivity.

According to Dr. Forson, the 24-hour economy has the capacity to generate employment and promote long-term economic expansion.

“The Mahama-led NDC government is committed to the pursuit of the 24-hour economy policy,” he stated.

He clarified that this program is in line with the administration’s overarching goals of expanding economic opportunities and guaranteeing employment equity.

The idea of the 24-hour economy has been a hot topic in recent political debates, with supporters claiming that it will maximize the use of resources and infrastructure while boosting productivity in important industries.
