The Roads and Highways Minister-designate, Governs Kwame Agbodza, and Education Minister-designate, Haruna Iddrisu, will be vetted by Parliament’s Appointments Committee today.
The qualifications, goals, and plans for each portfolio will be taken into consideration when evaluating the Tamale South and Adaklu MPs.
The committee will also hear testimony from Eric Opoku, MP for Asunafo South and Minister Designate for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the vetting was announced in a post on the official Facebook page of the Parliament of Ghana.
Three of President Mahama’s ministerial nominees have come before the committee thus far: Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister-designate; John Jinapor, the Energy Minister-designate; and Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General-designate.
