Local Government Minister, Dan Kwaku Botwe has endorsed the candidature of New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 Member of Parliament (MP) aspirant for Okere in the Eastern Region, Dan Kenneth.
According to him, Mr Kenneth is the right person to take over from him adding that the young man holds the right skills and knowledge to govern a constituency like Okere.
“He is a young intelligent and knowlegeable man, full of promise who has risen through the ranks to where he is now today, so he is absolutely the right man for the job…,”he told Accra-based Angel FM.
Dan Kenneth won the NPP primaries convincingly to become the 2024 Parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the Okere Constituency. The incumbent, Dan Botwe was part of the tall list of experienced NPP MPs who decided to leave Parliament for good.
And ahead of the major elections in December, the Minister who is also the current MP for the constituency, said he sees Dan Kenneth as the right replacement for him.
“He was part of TESCON even at the University, has worked at the constituency level before becoming DCE for the area, a position he still occupies, so he is better qualifed for the job…,” he said.
He further promised to do all within his means to ensure that he does not only win power to succeed him in Parliament but also succeeds as Member of Parliament.
