Kwesi Appiah, the head coach of Sudan’s national team, has expressed his desire for both Sudan and Ghana to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Sudan is currently competing with Ghana, Angola, and Niger in Group F for a spot at the AFCON. After two matches, the Falcons sit in second place with three points, trailing Angola by three points and leading both Ghana and Niger by a point.
“I hope both Ghana and Sudan qualify for the 2025 AFCON. We just have to pray and hope that we all achieve our goal,” Appiah stated in an interview with Asempa FM.
The matches between Sudan and Ghana will be critical in deciding which teams progress to the tournament.
The first leg will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, while the return leg is scheduled for Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
