North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has praised President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
He promised not to let the President and Ghanaians down.
His disclosed this during a swearing in ceremony last night.
“Ghana’s new Foreign Minister.
“I am ready to serve with integrity, innovation, dynamism, love for country and deep respect for the Ghanaian people.
“Our strategic national interest shall always reign supreme.
“I will not disappoint President Mahama and the good people of Ghana.
For God and Country.
“Ghana First.
Mr. Ablakwa stated that, he will deliver with unquestionable patriotism, innovation and integrity.
President Mahama has sworn-in another set of 17 ministers following approval by Parliament.
The ministers sworn-in on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Jubilee House were the recently approved ministers.
The sector ministers sworn-in were; Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah-Akandoh, Sam George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Abklakwa, Transport Minister, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister of State-in-charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Labour Minister, Rashid Pelpuo and Minister of State-in-charge of Climate Change and Sustainability, Issifu Seidu.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is a four-term Ghanaian legislator representing the people of North Tongu in the Volta Region.
For nearly eight years in parliament, he has served as a Ranking Member of the select committee on Foreign Affairs, where he rose to become the first Chairman of the reformed Assurances Committee.
