Julius Debrah, Valerie Sawyerr, others named in Mahama’s administration

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced key appointments to the Office of the President, effective January 7, 2025.

The appointees include Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, Dr. Callistus Mahama as Executive Secretary to the President, and Prosper Douglas Bani as Head of Interim Security Taskforce.

Other appointees are Dr. Valerie Sawyerr as Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs, Augustus Goosie Tannoh as Presidential Advisor Responsible for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development, and Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew as Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been appointed as the Ag. Spokesperson to the President.

These appointments, according to a statement from the Office of the President-elect, take effect from Wednesday, January 7th, 2025.

John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to be sworn into office as President of Ghana on Wednesday, January 7, 2025.

This will mark the beginning of his non-consecutive second term as President, having previously served from 2012 to 2017.
