Lands Minister discusses forest & climate action with U.S. EPA Administrator

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor, has recently hosted the Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Michael S. Regan, and the US Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Virginia Evelyn Palmer, at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to discuss forest and climate-related matters.

The meeting focused on Ghana and the United States’ leadership in the Forest and Climate Leaders’ Partnership (FCLP) and Ghana’s “Resilient Ghana” Country Package, which aims to protect and increase forest resources.

Mr. Regan praised Ghana for its climate action leadership and expressed a commitment to ongoing collaboration to achieve a 1.5-degree Celsius world.

The government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, under the leadership of Lawyer Samuel A. Jinapor, is dedicated to managing Ghana’s natural resources sustainably for the benefit of the Ghanaian people and to supporting global efforts to combat climate change.
