Leadership of Parliament interact with media

The Majority Leader and MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has revealed that the First Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 8th Parliament is expected to pass 82 Bills presented to the House.

The MP for Suame said this when leadership of the House including the Minority leader, Cassiel Ato Forson, MP Ajumako Anyan Essiem, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, MP for Effutu and Deputy Majority Leader, Kwame Governs Agbodza, MP Adaklu and the Minority Chief Whip, Seyram Lydia Alhassan, MP for Ayawaso West Wugon and Majority First Deputy Whip, Mr Camilo Pwamang, Deputy Clerk, Legislative Management Division and Deputy Clerk, Information Management Service, Madam Gloria Sarku Kamawu interacted and engaged with the members of the Parliamentary Press.

On his part, the Minority Leader, Ato Forson noted that the Minority Caucus will play their role to ensure that the Country is developed.

The Leadership briefing is held at the beginning of every Meeting of Parliament, where Leadership of the House engages and brief the media about the agenda of the meeting. The media in turns get the opportunity to ask questions relating to Parliamentary activities.

This platform ensures that Parliament engages regularly with members of the Parliamentary Press Corps who are key stakeholders in dissemination information to the citizenry.

The House has also started preparations to enable the President His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo to present the State of the Nation Address on Tuesday,27th February 2024.
