Low turnout mars voter’s exhibition exercise in Bono Region

The Electoral Commission (EC) has expressed concern over the low turnout of the voter’s exhibition exercise in the Bono Region.

Original TV‘s checks revealed a dismal turnout on the first day of the exercise, with some polling stations recording zero participants, while others had only one or two participants. The highest turnout was just 10 participants, as of 1 pm on day one.

EC officials attributed the low turnout to insufficient information, while PNC Bono Chairman, Asapana, blamed online checking of names.

“The low turnout is alarming, and we urge citizens to take advantage of this exercise to verify their information,” Asapana said.

The voter’s exhibition exercise is crucial for citizens to correct errors and ensure their eligibility to vote in the December 7th elections.
