Mahama appoints Prof. Ransford Gyampo as Ag. CEO of Ghana Shippers Authority

Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo has been named the Ghana Shippers Authority’s (GSA) acting CEO by the John Dramani Mahama-led administration.

Respected scholar Prof. Gyampo of the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department formally assumes the position, succeeding Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was named by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.

The President’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Calistus Mahama, delivered a letter formal confirming his appointment.

Sources claim that Mr. Sarpong has been instructed to immediately hand over his responsibilities to Prof. Gyampo.

Prof. Gyampo was born in Accra on March 31, 1977, and brings a plethora of experience to his current post.

He is a Professor of Political Science and the Founding Director of the University of Ghana’s Centre for European Studies, having worked in academia for two decades.
