Former President and 2024 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E John Dramani Mahama, has demonstrated his commitment to community development and religious harmony by donating a substantial amount towards the modernization project of the Kumasi Central Mosque.
The gracious contribution of Two Hundred Thousand Cedis (200,000.00) was presented to the leadership of the Mosque Committee on Friday 16th, 2024 after (Jummah) prayer. This weighty financial support comes in response to a formal request made to the former president by the Kumasi Central Mosque Committee, aimed at advancing the second phase of uplifting the Central Mosque and enhancing its facilities.
Leading the delegation on behalf of John Mahama was the National Vice Chairman, Hon Dr Sarpong, accompanied by esteemed party members including Alhaji Bawa Tanko, formerly of the Office of the President, National Zongo Caucus Coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Cooliyounger, Ashanti Regional Chairman Nana Kwesi, Deputy National Zongo Caucus Alhaji Ahmed, Ashanti Regional Zongo Caucus Alhaji Naziru, amongst others.
