President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s transition team has established a team to spearhead his anti-corruption drive, in line with his campaign promise to recover proceeds of corruption and hold accountable those responsible.
The team, chaired by Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, comprises experienced individuals, including former Auditor-General Daniel Domelovo, retired COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu, and investigative journalist Raymond Archer.
Their primary responsibility will be to gather information from the public and other sources on suspected acts of corruption.
According to the transition team, Mahama “intends to hit the ground running on these commitments,” emphasizing his dedication to fighting corruption and promoting accountability in government.
The NDC’s ORAL initiative stands for “Operation Recover All Loot,” which is a key plank in the party’s anti-corruption drive.
ORAL aims to tackle corruption head-on by investigating and recovering stolen funds, as well as bringing perpetrators to justice. This initiative is part of the NDC’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in Ghana.
