Ministerial nominations of Ato Forson, Jinapor, Ayine approved by Parliament

The first group of ministerial nominees nominated by President John Dramani Mahama has been accepted by Parliament after a thorough screening and discussion process.

The approved nominees include:

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Finance Minister As Energy Minister, John Jinapor Attorney General and Justice Minister Dr. Dominic Ayine

The Appointments Committee meticulously evaluated the candidates’ credentials, backgrounds, and goals for their positions during the vetting process on Monday, January 13, 2025.

After the assessment the committee brought its report to the House for discussion.

The plenary deliberations included comprehensive debates of the nominees’ competency and ideas for solving national challenges.

Following the debate, Members of Parliament voted to approve the nominations, allowing them to take up their ministerial positions.

This marks the first step in President Mahama’s efforts to build a team capable of delivering on his administration’s priorities.
