Minority petitions CHRAJ over Interior Ministry’s recruitment process

The Minority in Parliament has petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to ensure compliance with the law by the Interior Ministry in its recruitment processes.

Mr. James Agalga, Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee and Member of Parliament for Builsa North, disclosed this at a press conference in Accra.

He stated that the Minority had received information that the Interior Ministry intended to recruit personnel into the security services, including the police, immigration, fire, and prisons, without publishing the vacancies as required by law.

Mr. Agalga argued that this was a violation of the Constitution and urged CHRAJ to take action to enforce compliance.
