National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer John Mahama has declared that the party’s government will present a new budget in 2025 that will modify taxes to provide incentives for companies.
The former president said that the initiative is focused on growing businesses and creating jobs for Ghanaian youth during his 2024 New Year’s speech at his Tamale home.
“National Democratic Congress has developed a comprehensive plan which will be shared with businesses, academia, civil society and the youth to create jobs and opportunities for all our young people. It will also encourage business ownership and entrepreneurship among them.
“In April 2025 the new NDC government shall introduce a new budget to support and build more businesses and adjust taxes that will serve as an incentive for job creation. At the heart of my vision for economic growth, Mr. Mahama stated.
President Mahama joined the Sanctuary of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God Church in Tamale for the 2023 watch night service, and since then, he has been on a working visit to the Savanna Region.
While in Bole, Mr. Mahama threw a New Year’s celebration for the regional executives, MPs, and parliamentary candidates, as well as the executives from each of the seven savanna region constituencies.
Additionally, at two different events in Bamboi and Bole, Mr. Mahama hosted all 1,035 branch executives from the Bole Constituency.
The leader of the NDC also paid a visit to the chief of Bamboi, Bolewura, and paid several other chiefs and opinion leaders in Tamale and Bole.
