The National Democratic Congress (NDC) party headquarters in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency at Axim in the Western Region hosted a unique campaign visit for Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, who is the National Organizer for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
As part of its continued efforts to reach voters in the Western Region, the party paid this visit.
The NDC officials in attendance greeted the NPP team with unusual candor during their conversation.
The leaders of the NDC conveyed a great deal of discontent with their own MP, expressing worries about what they see to be a lack of progress during his term in office. They proceeded to commend Mrs. Catherine Afeku, the former NPP MP for the Constituency, for her development efforts and achievements, which they said had a greater positive influence on the Constituency than those of the present NDC MP.
The NDC executives’ dissatisfaction with their MP’s alleged idleness in Parliament was one of the discussion’s most startling discoveries.
They said he responded by pointing to a structural problem in the chamber when they confronted him about his lack of presence and involvement in legislative debates.
The NDC executives considered the MP’s answer confusing and inadequate. He claims that a pillar in front of his seat blocks his perspective and keeps him from meeting the Speaker’s gaze when he tries to speak.
