NDC rejects letter on submission of nominees for national appointments

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed a letter circulating online, which suggests that party nominees from constituencies are being submitted for national appointments.

In a statement signed by Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, he said he is not aware of any such notification from the party’s national level.

“Neither has the regional executives committee been consulted nor have approved such directive,” he emphasized.

Ashie Moore described the letter as a “sole decision of the Regional Secretary without any recourse to laid down party structures.”

He urged the public to disregard the letter, stating that it deserves to be treated with seriousness.

Meanwhile, the transition team of President-elect John Dramani Mahama is working diligently to ensure a smooth handover of power.

The team is focused on delivering the top 10 policies within the President-elect’s first 120 days in office.
