NPP primaries: I’ll secure more than 60% of votes in Bekwai – COP Alex Mensah

After completing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) screening process with success, retired Commissioner of Police George Alex Mensah has expressed strong confidence in his ability to win the Bekwai seat.

Four candidates have entered the race as a result of First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Joseph Owusu-Osei’s decision not to run for reelection in the upcoming NPP primaries.

COP George Alex Mensah told Citi News that he hopes to receive 60% of the vote in the next primaries, despite the fact that the race is anticipated to be fierce.

“I am going to bring unity to the party because we have to break the 8, and it is only unity that will help us break the 8, and that is what I am going to do. I am going to do everything that I have to do to bring improvement to the community.”

“With the percent that I am going to get, it should be more than 60 percent,” he added.

Kingley Opoku Agyemang, Henry Opoku-Ware, Raph Poku-Adusei, and other candidates are also hopeful about winning the primaries.
