President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called for unity among party members and supporters after the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries on Saturday, January 27,
The president emphasized in a statement that the party’s unity is crucial to winning the next general elections on December 7.
He called on all primary participants, victorious and defeated, to respect party customs and stand united behind the NPP’s presidential and parliamentary nominees.
President Akufo-Addo emphasized the need of upholding the party’s tradition of unity and the necessity of unity for success in the approaching elections. He voiced faith in the party’s capacity to “Break the Eight” and win a landslide, advancing the country’s program for progress and prosperity.
In a statement, the president thanked the primary winners and urged the losers and their backers to cooperate in order to help the NPP win power in December.
