The meeting’s agenda, meanwhile, is expected to center on the recently announced 2024 Bawumia Campaign Team and the party’s recent leadership transition in Parliament.

The emergency meeting between members of the majority caucus and President Nana Akufo-Addo, in which Majority Leader Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu resigned on Wednesday, February 21, is also anticipated to take center stage. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, his deputy, is expected to take over for him.

Nevertheless, a number of significant figures have characterized the choice as unparalleled, and there are speculations that he was compelled to resign.
