NSS begins a six-month volunteer recruiting program for young people and graduates

National Service graduates and young people without jobs are being sought after by the National Service Scheme (NSS) to serve as volunteers for a period of six months.

The program states that the decision was made in light of the large number of applications from young people, with the intention of addressing the issue of youth unemployment in the nation.

The NSS said in a statement on Thursday about the recruiting in Accra “The recruitment will focus on various models including sanitation, teaching, agriculture, health and other sectors aligned with the Government’s efforts to promote environmental health, cleanliness, and sustainable development.”

“An online application system will be operational soon on the Scheme’s website to facilitate the selection process. We encourage you to spread awareness about this opportunity among potential candidates in your region/district and provide necessary guidance and support throughout the application process.”
