Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II asserts that the restoration of Ghana’s environment—which has been badly damaged by illicit mining, or “galamsey”—should be the country’s top priority.
Speaking on his 25th anniversary of ascending to become the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool, the Asantehene emphasized the significance of finding every method feasible to resolve the galamsey issue.
He emphasized that the current generation shouldn’t be the one to destroy the legacy that their forefathers left behind.
The Asantehene demanded that the battle against Galamsey be waged with determination.
