The president’s health advisor, Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, stated that the government has finished 47 hospitals thus far in an effort to improve healthcare delivery throughout the nation.
His remarks coincide with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) accusing the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of having not finished building a single hospital since taking office in 2017.
According to Dr. Asare, the opposition (NDC) was unable to finish any Euroget projects in their eight years in office.
“I can say on authority that this government has completed several hospitals, for example, we came to meet the Euroget project which was started by former president John Agyekum Kufuor,” he told Asaase Radio.
“For the eight years that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in power, not a single one of the Euroget projects was completed and commissioned So far since 2017… nine abandoned Euroget projects have been completed [and] commissioned for use.”
Dr Nsiah Asare added, “This government has since inception in January 2017 completed 47 hospitals. These are not part of the Agenda 111 projects…”
