President Akufo-Addo names new Board for GBC and three other State-Owned media entities

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and three other state media entities have new boards headed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449) section 2(1)(e) and article 168 of the Constitution were followed in making the nominations.

The Ghana News Agency, the Graphic Communications Group Limited, and the New Times Corporation are the other three state media organizations that have new boards.

Below is the full list of appointees and respective media outlets.

In accordance with article 168 of the Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449), the National Commission has, in consultation with H.E The President, appointed the following persons to the governing boards of public corporations managing the state-owned media.
