President John Mahama has appointed Edmond Kombat as new Managing Director of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) , assuming control of the local oil refinery in Ghana at a pivotal moment.
Most people agree that his appointment was a calculated move to revitalize the business, which had been struggling financially and operationally in recent years.
Edmond Kombat is the ideal person to lead the refinery back to stability because of his vast experience in the oil and energy industry.
TOR, which was once an essential part of Ghana’s industrial structure, has had trouble meeting local and regional energy demands due to inefficiencies.
His main duty will be to spearhead the refinery’s operational restructuring and modernization. To obtain the much-needed funding and technical know-how for TOR’s revitalization, he is also anticipated to look for private-sector collaborations.
