‘Prodigal son’ Owusu Aduomi returns to the NPP after Ejisu by-election fallout

The Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Council of Elders has successfully reconciled with Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, a former Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, who contested as an independent candidate in the Ejisu By-Election.

At a meeting on Monday, August 5, 2024, Owusu Aduomi announced his unconditional return to the party, stating, “My umbilical cord is planted in NPP, and it runs through the veins of my blood.”

Council Chairperson, Mrs. Rosemond Appiah Menka, expressed gratitude, saying, “We’re thrilled to have him back.

His return will significantly bolster our fortunes in the December 7th elections.”

Vice-Chairman, Dr. Moussa Jebir Kebir, appealed to NPP members to “wholeheartedly accept” Owusu Aduomi’s return.

Owusu Aduomi pledged to bring his supporters back to the party, reaffirming his commitment to the NPP.

This reconciliation is seen as a significant boost to the NPP’s chances in the upcoming elections.
