Restoring Ghana’s economy will be a tough task-Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, has recognised the seriousness of Ghana’s economic problems and characterised the recovery process as difficult but doable.

Speaking at a Sunday, December 15, 2024, thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, Mr. Mahama pledged to guide the country out of its economic challenges while seeking divine direction for effective leadership.

“I can confirm that our country is still in a very severe economic crisis, and it is going to take a lot of work to bring it back.

“It is going to be a very tough task to restore our economic prosperity, but I pray that the God who gave me this responsibility will give me the strength and the wisdom to handle it,” Mr. Mahama stated.

The president-elect emphasized how crucial it is to choose qualified candidates to help his administration deal with the nation’s urgent problems.

“I pray that God gives me the sense of discernment and wisdom to choose the right people to work in the best interest of the people of Ghana,” Mr. Mahama added, stressing the need for collaborative and competent leadership in the challenging months ahead.

“God’s favour is still on our dear country Ghana, and I know he will not forsake us,” he added, providing reassurance to Ghanaians amidst the ongoing crisis.
