The renovated Kumasi International Airport in the Ashanti Region is expected to be finished and completely operating by May, according to President Akufo-Addo.
The airport shall henceforth be known as Nana Agyemang I International Airport, he further disclosed.
He added that Yakubu Tali International Airport will also replace Tamale Airport in the Northern Region.
He emphasized during Tuesday, February 27’s State of the Nation speech.
The 98% complete Kumasi International Airport will be a major hub for trade, tourism, and regional connectivity in the Ashanti Region and beyond, according to him.
According to him, the government is determined to establish the nation as a leader in superior aviation on the African continent, which is shown in its efforts to finish the airports.
