Suspected NDC sympathizers vandalize EC Collation Center in Ablekuma North

The Electoral Commission’s Greater Accra Regional Office’s collation center was raided by suspected thugs who are purportedly connected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The commission planned to continue compiling the results of the Ablekuma North constituency’s parliamentary election today.

The incident happened while officials and members of the media waited for the process to start, according to eyewitness accounts.

More than 40 people broke into the venue, told everyone to leave, and started damaging things like doors and louvre blades.

Although the attack’s motivation is still unknown, it has raised questions regarding the integrity of the constituency’s election results and the security of the collation process.

It is unclear whether any arrests have been made, and authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
