The 2024 election was a humble and reflective victory – Anthony Nukpenu

The Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, has expressed profound gratitude following the party’s victory in the December 7, 2024, general elections.

In an interview on Adwenepa’s show on Original TV, he described the win as a reflective and humbling moment and attributed it to the collective discipline, loyalty, and purpose of the NDC team.

Nukpenu emphasized that with the elections behind them, the focus now shifts to ensuring a smooth transition of power which officially begins on January 7, 2025.

He stated the party is committed to delivering relief and renewed hope to Ghanaians, reiterating that the victory is not the work of one individual or chance but rather by the grace of God.

Speaking on the party’s long-term goals, Nukpenu stressed the need for a future-focused approach to governance. He noted that Ghanaians’ future must be built for the unborn generations, not just those enjoying the fruits of today’s victory.

He explained that the NDC’s vision is centered on resetting the nation by addressing current challenges and creating a foundation for sustainable development, better living standards, and a brighter future for all.

He highlighted discipline as a core pillar of the NDC’s resetting agenda.

According to him, government officials must approach their roles with humility and a deep sense of responsibility toward the people they serve.

He warned that indiscipline within the leadership ranks would disrupt the nation’s progress. He stated Ghana cannot move forward if those in authority fail to humble themselves before the citizens who elected them.

He further stressed that the resetting agenda is more than just a political slogan. It represents a deliberate and well-thought-out plan to bring equality and happiness to every Ghanaian.

He assured the new administration would prioritize the needs of the public over personal or political interests because he would personally deal with arrogant government officials who refuse to build or place the people of Ghana first.

This explains that he believes the priority is to ensure that the public feels comfortable and happy.

He added the NDC party is committed to an agenda that puts the people first and delivers real relief, he stated.

Nukpenu called for collective effort, discipline, and focus to achieve the party’s vision of resetting and rebuilding Ghana and restoring hope for the future.
