U/E: Minister vows to deal ruthlessly with perpetrators of NPP vehicle attack

Upper East Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, has promised to deal ruthlessly with perpetrators who attacked and burnt down a New Patriotic Party (NPP) vehicle at Atuba, a suburb of Binduri.

The incident occurred on Monday night when masked gunmen stormed the residence of Mr Samuel Ayaago, NPP Chairman for Binduri Constituency, fired gunshots, and set ablaze an NPP-branded vehicle.

Dr Bin Salih, who visited the scene to ascertain the facts, expressed sadness over the incident and vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.

“The perpetrators of this heinous crime will be dealt with ruthlessly,” he warned.

Mr Abdulai Abanga, Member of Parliament for Binduri and Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of inciting people against the NPP due to the Bawku conflict.

The Upper East Regional Police Commander has launched an investigation into the incident.
