The Deputy Majority Leader, Kweku George Ricketts Hagan, has announced that the vetting of deputy ministerial nominees will begin on Monday, February 24, 2025.
He said that since the status of the statutory members of the reconstituted Appointment Committee has not changed, there won’t be any surprises. As a result, Bernard Ahiafor, the First Deputy Speaker, will remain the Chairman of the Committee.
Stakeholders were reassured by the announcement that the committee’s current leadership and structure would continue, guaranteeing a seamless and predictable selection process for deputy ministerial candidates.
