Vice President Bawumia joins Muslims for national Eid-ul-Adha prayers

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Sunday June 16, 2024, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and fellow Muslims at the Black Stars Square, in Accra, for this year’s national Eid-ul-Adha prayers.

Addressing the gathering, he stated that, “As we approach the December polls, let’s prioritize ideas and solutions to our nation’s problems. We coexist as Muslims and Christians harmoniously and should no let these elections be about religion or religious differences.” Adding that, “We are one people, one nation. These elections should centre on the policies, ideas and solutions offered by the candidates.”

Dr. Bawumia has expressed appreciation to the National Chief Imam for his kind words and citation of honour and appreciation presented to him on behalf of the Muslim leadership.
