The people of the Upper East Region are urged by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to cast their votes in favor of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the approaching December elections.
He underlined that, as Ghana gets closer to elections, Dr. Bawumia represents the dreams and ambitions of a lot of people in the country.
In order to help the NPP win the top slot on the ballot on election day, the President urged the voters in the area to cast their ballots.
During his one-day trip of the Upper East Region on Tuesday, President Akufo-Addo spoke to the chiefs and elders of the area.
“I came here to give you an account of my stewardship, say hello for your support and also to urge you to seriously take into consideration the need for you to choose somebody to step into my shoes who is going to carry on the policies that we have enumerated that have brought relief and progress and development to our country,” he stated.
He added, “…This particular election is the simple one when you go to the polls on the ballot paper just look at number one you will see the elephant on number one you don’t have to go any further.”
