We won’t meet NPP with Bibles while they use guns – Hannah Bissiw warns

The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) National Organizer, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw-Kotey, has warned that the party will no longer put up with the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) alleged evil actions.

The days of meeting with the NPP “with the Bible for the sake of peace” are over, she said, adding that the NDC would not take a passive stance in response to provocations.

The NPP has continuously betrayed the cause of peace in Ghana’s political landscape, according to Dr. Bissiw-Kotey.

She cited earlier instances, such as the general elections in 2024, in which she asserted that the NPP took advantage of violence while anticipating the NDC would maintain its nonviolence.

“Ghana’s democracy is suffering under the reign of the NPP,” she asserted, emphasizing that the turning point came in 2024 when, according to her, the military unleashed terror on innocent voters during the elections,” She told Accra FM.

Dr. Bissiw-Kotey stated that the NDC will not be afraid to stand its ground in upcoming elections because of its revolutionary heritage.

“There can be no peace without justice,” Dr. Bissiw-Kotey said, warning that the NDC will not compromise or tolerate any actions that undermine fairness in the upcoming general elections.
