President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has blasted John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying that his “24-hour economy” program is unclear and unsubstantial.
The president urged people to reject Mahama in Saturday’s presidential election on December 7, claiming that he lacks new solutions to solve Ghana’s problems.
During his campaign visit of the Greater Accra Region, President Akufo-Addo underlined that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the most qualified candidate to guide Ghana into the future while addressing religious and traditional leaders and New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in the Tema West constituency.
He praised the NPP’s history of creative governance and programs, claiming that continuity under Bawumia will guarantee the country’s continued growth and advancement.
“What is he [John Dramani Mahama] coming to do? 24-hour economy. You couldn’t keep the lights on in the four years in which you were in power for 12 hours a day.
“How are you going to run a 24-hour economy when 12 hours a day, you couldn’t keep the lights on? You couldn’t pay the teacher training allowance. You couldn’t pay nurses training allowance.”
