The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign leader, Dan Botwe, is optimistic that the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will win the forthcoming December elections.
Mr. Botwe claims that the NPP is ready to take power and win a majority of votes in the next presidential and legislative elections.
Speaking to media in Accra, Dan Botwe said he was certain the NPP would defeat the eight-year election cycle curse and win.
He underlined the party’s dedication to making intensive efforts in order to accomplish its goals, which include gaining a majority of the 275 parliamentary seats.
“…We will work very hard to make sure that we achieve our objectives. And we shall win the majority of the 275 seats in Parliament and over 50 percent in the presidential election.”
The flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressed optimism to the media during a meeting with his campaign and manifesto teams. He claimed that the NPP has outperformed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in terms of performance and that this will help him win the December elections.
“We have the vision and we have the record, and it is very clear in the exhilarating speech that was given by the president at the State of the Nation Address. As I listened to the president, it was very clear that we have outperformed the NDC government in every single sector. I can’t see even one sector where they outperformed us.”
