At the handing and taking over ceremony, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai expressed appreciation to the management of the facility assuring the benefactors that the facility would be operated by the International Military Aviation Standards to improve security and customer satisfaction.
He stated that, the steady growth of the Ghana Airport Company Limited and other stakeholders in Tamale has been made possible as a result of the partnership with the Air Force Base Tamale.
The Guest of Honor for the event, Mrs Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare the Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), said the move which portrayed the long-standing relationship between both institutions was a step in the right direction to increase the office space of the Air Force.
Present at the ceremony were the Northern Regional Minister, Hon Alhassan Shani Shaibu, the Garrison Commander, Major General Matthew Essien and other board members of the Ghana Airport Company Limited.
