John Akologu Tia, a former MP for the Upper East Region’s Talensi Constituency and former Minister of Information, has reportedly passed away following a brief illness.
He is said to have passed away in the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital early on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
John Akologu Tia served under the late President John Evans Atta-Mills as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
From 1993 until 2012, he was the Constituency’s Member of Parliament for five terms in a row.
