The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Saturday May 25 2024, joins executives and members of the NPP branch in the United States of America (USA), to mark its 30th anniversary celebrations in Washington.
He noted that, “From its difficult beginning, in the early 90s, when the country transitioned from military rule to the 4th Republic, NPP USA has grown to become a vibrant external branch of the NPP, and its support and contributions to the party cannot be underestimated.”
Dr. Bawumia has urged them and other external branches of the party to continue to support the party’s break the 8 agenda to ensure that Ghana is not left behind in the ongoing Digital Revolution saying, “The continuous support of NPP USA, and all other external branches, will even be more crucial as we seek to break the 8 and continue with our transformational vision for Ghana in the 4th Industrial Revolution.”
He has congratulated the founders of the NPP USA for their bold initiative, as well as those who have played diverse roles in ensuring the branch’s success, which has 27 active chapters across the USA.
