Vote NPP out – NDC candidate tells farmers in Upper East Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Binduri Constituency, Yussif Mahmud, has appealed to farmers in the Upper East Region to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general elections.

According to Mahmud, the NPP’s mismanagement of the economy has led to the skyrocketing prices of fertilizer and other farm inputs, making it difficult for farmers to operate.

He stated that the NDC government had invested in constructing dams like the Tamde dam for irrigation farming, but the NPP had abandoned these projects and instead spent money on non-existent dams like the Pwalugu Dam.

Martin Ariku, CEO of Ariku farms, expressed support for 3192 farmers in the Binduri District but lamented the high cost of farming in the area.

Small holder farmer, Osman Sulemana, expressed gratitude to Ariku farms for their support but bemoaned the high prices of farm inputs.
